JunRe 1zero6 is a refill designed around one of the most famous synths from the 1980's. Unlike Rack Extensions and other soft-synths that recreate the synth in digital form. The refill is focused on the real analog sound 'captured'. The refill focuses on the stock sounds, just as if you went back in time 30 years & took the synth brand new out of the box.
The JunRe 1zero6 is relatively simple in terms of its synthesis architecture. Nevertheless, it is still very popular among musicians and producers for its ability to produce rich basses, pads, PWM [ Pulse Width Modulation ] sounds and other distinct and desirable analog tones.
The central tone-generating component of the instrument is a set of 6 digitally controlled oscillators capable of producing sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms. The JunRe is well known for its -24 dB/octave analog lowpass filter with adjustable resonance, which has been said to provide the JunRe with its distinctive rich sound, when combined with the tone of the MC wave generation modules.
The JunRe features an onboard analog stereo chorus effect, which is a fairly distinctive aspect of the instrument's sound. The JunRe's chorus is based on a set of bucket brigade delay (BBD) lines similar to other popular guitar pedals.
No need to worry about failing sound chips or dead notes here. We have taken a perfect working order JunRe 1zero6 to help us create this refill. The rich analog sounds, while basic, are a dream to play around with. And are a piece of iconic music production history.
The JunRe 1zero6 gives you basic controls that were available on the original hardware but the main focus of the refill is to emulate the original soundbank that accompanied the hardware, as these are the sounds that can be heard in all types of music stemming back over the past 30 years.

Be advised, Digital snobs may not be able to comprehend what these ReFills represent. If you were not around in the 1980's or you are used to being spoiled by modern digital soft-synths, then maybe these ReFills are not for you. If you are used to synths where you hold one note and it writes the whole melody for you, then best avoid these pieces of history. What these ReFills represent is the original soundbanks factory fitted to iconic synths.
In a world where mere mortals will find it hard to experience owning some of these hardware synths without winning the lottery or robbing a bank, we have spent a long time getting them just right, specially for the Reason rack. Each Hardware ReFill contains over 12GB of data and each one is delivered in a whopping 6 to 7GB refill. It is recommended that you are running a reasonably up to date system 4Gb Ram and a decent processor would be strongly advised.
